gourmet White and Gray Sea Salt that come from Provence and Northern France where it has been harvested for centuries. Our white sea salt comes from the heart of “Camargue”, the highly salted water from the Mediterranean sea is trapped in giant and very shallow pools where it evaporates slowly with the help of the “Mistral” wind and the blazing sun of Provence. When the water is completely gone, only white crystals of salt remain. Professionals called “Sauniers” using giant racks called “etelle” hand-harvest the white crystals or salt. Then the white salt is washed, crushed and sorted by type; fine or coarse and left to dry with the help of the Mistral.
Our gray sea salt is harvested in a similar way off the shore of North West part of France.
Our Coarse white or gray sea Salt is mostly used when boiling vegetables, meat, etc.. Due to its purity, our Fine white sea salt enhances the flavors of all your favorite dishes and it is the best choice of seasonings.
